Multi-omics dissection of CPNE1 reveals its prognostic value and immune-regulatory function in liver cancer. (PubMed, Discov Oncol)
CPNE1 is linked to poor prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and proposes the SNHG6/hsa-miR-101-3p/CPNE1 regulatory axis. The study investigates the role of CPNE1 in modulating the immune microenvironment of liver cancer and suggests that it may serve as a biomarker for poor prognosis in HCC patients.

Cisplatin-based miRNA delivery strategy inspired by the circCPNE1/miR-330-3p pathway for oral squamous cell carcinoma. (PubMed, Acta Pharm Sin B)
Paratumoral administration results revealed that PP@miR NPs effectively inhibited subcutaneous tumor progression and achieved partial tumor elimination (2/5), which confirmed the critical role of miR-330-3p in OSCC development. These findings provide a new perspective for the development of OSCC treatments.

Exploring the Role of Non-synonymous and Deleterious Variants Identified in Colorectal Cancer: A Multi-dimensional Computational Scrutiny of Exomes. (PubMed, Curr Genomics)
An in-depth multi-dimensional downstream analysis of all these genes in terms of gene expression profiling and analysis and differential gene expression with regard to various cancer types revealed CTSB and CPNE1 as highly expressed and overregulated genes in colorectal cancer. Our work provides insights into the various alterations that might possibly lead to colorectal cancer and suggests the possibility of utilizing the most important genes identified for wet-lab experimentation.

CPNE1, A Potential Therapeutic Target in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, Affects Cell Growth and Radiation Resistance. (PubMed, Radiat Res)
We observed elevated p-Akt in si-CPNE1 transfected C666-1 and SUNE-1 cells. In conclusion, these results demonstrated that CPNE1 expression is elevated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells, and its silencing could attenuate nasopharyngeal carcinoma advancement and improve radiosensitivity to radiation therapy by controlling Akt activation.
