Recognition of immunogenomic signature and prognostic value of the subtype of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in breast cancer. (PubMed, Biochem Biophys Rep)
Moreover, low-risk patients exhibit better sensitivity to chemotherapy. This novel EMT signature offers excellent potential for predicting the prognosis, tumor immune heterogeneity, and therapeutic responses in breast cancer.

Integrated Bioinformatics Analysis of Differentially Expressed RNA-Binding Proteins in Human Gliomas. (PubMed, Cell Mol Neurobiol)
Further, RBPs like RPS8, RPL5, RPS3A, EEF1A1, and EIF4E1B were found to be strongly correlated with patients' overall survival. Taken together, our analyses identified several candidate RBPs which might serve as potential targets for oncological measures against gliomas.

RETRACTION: MicroRNA-320a Inhibits Invasion and Metastasis in Osteosarcoma by Targeting Cytoplasmic Polyadenylation Element-Binding Protein 1. (PubMed, Cancer Med)
The retraction has been agreed to because the unattributed duplication of images from an earlier publication, which describes different experimental conditions, fundamentally compromises the editors' confidence in the results presented in this article. The authors did not respond to our notice regarding the retraction.

Identification of ferroptosis related genes and subtypes in colorectal cancer. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
We identified key ferroptosis-related genes and defined two distinct ferroptosis-associated subtypes in CRC that differ significantly in prognosis and immune infiltration. These findings provide new insights into the interaction between ferroptosis and the tumor immune microenvironment, offering potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets for improved diagnosis and personalized treatment of colorectal cancer.

Long noncoding RNA TUG1 promotes chondrosarcoma progression and M2 polarization. (PubMed, Genes Dis)
Additionally, exosomal TUG1 enhanced the polarization of M2 tumor-associated macrophages, which increased the proliferation and metastasis of CHS. Taken together, this study revealed the oncogenic role of TUG1 in CHS and its interactions with the downstream regulatory axis, offering novel insights into the tumorigenic mechanism of CHS.

CPEB1 Controls NRF2 Proteostasis and Ferroptosis Susceptibility in Pancreatic Cancer. (PubMed, Int J Biol Sci)
Furthermore, based on the pathological evaluation of tissue specimens from 90 PDAC patients, we established that CPEB1 is an independent prognosticator whose expression level is closely associated with clinical therapeutic outcomes in PDAC. These findings identify the role of CPEB1 as a key ferroptosis regulator and a potential prognosticator in pancreatic cancer.

The Roles of Cytoplasmic Polyadenylation Element Binding Protein 1 in Tumorigenesis. (PubMed, Mini Rev Med Chem)
CPEB1 is likely to serve as a target and dynamic detection index or prognostic indicator for its function of apoptosis, activity, proliferation, migration, invasion, stemness, drug resistance, and even ferroptosis in various cancers.

CPEB1 induces autophagy and promotes apoptosis in ovarian granulosa cells of polycystic ovary syndrome. (PubMed, Mol Reprod Dev)
In vitro, CPEB1 overexpression inhibited cell viability and sirtuin-1 (SIRT1), activated tumor necrosis factor-α, and interleukin-6 levels, as well as apoptosis and autophagy; however, CPEB1 knockdown had the opposite effect. In conclusion, overexpression of CPEB1 activated autophagy and apoptosis of ovarian GCs in PCOS.

miRNAs from Inflamed Gingiva Link Gene Signaling to Increased MET Expression. (PubMed, J Dent Res)
This underscores the importance of mesenchymal cell migration and invasion during gingival tissue remodeling and proliferation in restoring periodontal tissue homeostasis after active inflammation. MET, a receptor of the mitogenic hepatocyte growth factor fibroblast secreted, is a core gene of this process.

Identification Invasion-Related Long Non-Coding RNAs in Lung Adenocarcinoma and Analysis of Competitive Endogenous RNA Regulatory Networks. (PubMed, Int J Gen Med)
Our study identified five novel invasion-related prognostic lncRNAs (RP3-525N10.2, LINC00857, EP300-AS1, PDZRN3-AS1, and RP5-1102E8.3) and established an accurate model for predicting the prognosis of patients with LUAD. These findings enrich our understanding of the relationships between cell invasion, lncRNAs, and LUAD and may provide novel treatment directions.
