    In vitro, within lung adenocarcinoma cell lines, B4GALNT1 knockdown and CERS4 overexpression suppressed cell proliferation, migration, and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, supporting their roles in lung adenocarcinoma progression. These findings highlight B4GALNT1 and CERS4 as potential prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets in lung adenocarcinoma, warranting further clinical investigation.

    We propose that the expression level of CerS4 and CerS5 in colon tumors could serve as a basis for decision-making for personalized treatment of advanced colon cancer patients.     Chronic CerS4 overexpression may exert oncogenic effects in breast cancer via alterations in signaling, EMT, and chemoresistance. Therefore, CerS4 may represent an attractive target for anticancer therapy, especially in LumA breast cancer.
