An Essential Role of c-Fos in Notch1-mediated Promotion of Proliferation of KSHV-Infected SH-SY5Y Cells. (PubMed, Curr Mol Pharmacol)
Our findings strongly indicate that c-Fos plays a crucial role in the promotion of cell proliferation through Notch1 signaling in KSHV-infected cells. Furthermore, our results suggest that the inhibition of expression of key viral pathogenic proteins is likely involved in this process.

Obviously, compound 5a halted the cell cycle at the G1, S, and G2-M phases in HCT116 cells. Subsequently, the synthesized 1,2,3-triazole analogues can be treated as lead VEGFR-2 and telomerase inhibitors with potential apoptotic activity for future optimization and cancer treatment.

Maslinic acid induces autophagy and ferroptosis via transcriptomic and metabolomic reprogramming in prostate cancer cells. (PubMed, Front Pharmacol)
In vivo, we demonstrated that 50 mg/kg MA significantly inhibited the growth of tumors established using RM-1 cells. To summarize, we report that MA inhibits prostate cancer cell growth both in vitro and in vivo by inducing autophagy and ferroptosis via transcriptomic and metabolomic reprogramming.

Nicotinamide mononucleotide protects STAT1 from oxidative stress-induced degradation to prevent colorectal tumorigenesis. (PubMed, MedComm (2020))
These results indicate that oxidative stress induces STAT1 degradation in tumor cells and possibly in CAC tissues, whereas supplementation with NMN protects STAT1 from oxidation-induced degradation and prevents tumorigenesis. This study provides experimental evidence for the development of NMN-mediated chemoprevention strategies for CRC.

Lnc NEAT1 facilitates the progression of melanoma by targeting the miR-152-3p/CDK6 axis: An observational study. (PubMed, Medicine (Baltimore))
Furthermore, the miR-152-3p/ CDK6 axis was implicated in the progression of melanoma accelerated by Lnc NEAT1. Taken together, Lnc NEAT1 may promote melanoma development by serving as an endogenous sponge of miR-152-3p, increasing CDK6 expression, and identifying a new target for the treatment of melanoma.

Enhancing radiosensitivity in osteosarcoma via CDKN2C overexpression: A mechanism involving G1 phase arrest mediated by inhibition of CDK4 expression and Thr172 phosphorylation. (PubMed, Biochem Biophys Res Commun)
Our research results indicate that overexpression of CDKN2C enhances radiosensitivity in osteosarcoma through the induction of G1 phase arrest and subsequent apoptosis. G1 phase arrest is mediated by the suppression of CDK4 expression and Thr172 phosphorylation, which consequently affects the expression of phosphorylated RB at the Ser807/811 sites.

Umbelliprenin improved anti-proliferative effects of ionizing radiation on adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma cells via interaction with CDK6; an in vitro and in silico study. (PubMed, Int J Immunopathol Pharmacol)
Molecular docking revealed a favorable binding interaction between UMB and the ATP-binding site of CDK6, with a JAMDA score of -2.131, surpassing the control selonsertib. The current study provides evidence that UMB enhances the anti-proliferative effects of IR on ATL cells, and highlights the significance of targeting CDK6 in combinatorial approaches.
