Fluid Overload-Associated Large B-Cell Lymphoma Presenting as Isolated Pleural Effusion. (PubMed, Hematol Rep)
Ultimately, the patient was diagnosed with fluid overload-associated large B-cell lymphoma and treated with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, vincristine sulfate, and prednisone, but passed away three months after diagnosis. It may be mistaken for other conditions such as primary effusion lymphoma or other diffuse large B-cell lymphomas. The presence of a Human Herpesvirus-8-negative effusion-based lymphoma in an elderly immunocompetent patient without nodal or tissue involvement should prompt consideration of fluid overload-associated large B-cell lymphoma.

The presence of CD11c+ B cells with potent effector memory phenotype in lung adenocarcinoma correlates with overall patient survival. (PubMed, Cancer Immunol Res)
Stimulation also induced IL-12, IL-21, and TNF-α secretion, which are cytokines known to enhance antitumor immunity. Overall, the data indicte that CD11c+ TIL-Bs are a potential target for anticancer therapeutic approaches and/or a potential prognostic biomarker for cancer prognosis.

Breast Implant-Associated Epstein-Barr Virus-Positive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. (PubMed, Case Rep Hematol)
BIA-DLBCL is an increasingly reported entity which in most cases can be classified within the spectrum of fibrin-associated large B-cell lymphoma (FA-LBCL). While surgical excision alone may be sufficient for localized disease, the rarity of this lymphoma highlights the urgent need for more comprehensive data, particularly long-term survival outcomes, to refine classification and therapeutic recommendations.

Serum Lactate Dehydrogenase as a Biomarker of Disease Burden and Chemotherapy Response in Canine High-Grade Multicentric Lymphoma. (PubMed, Vet Sci)
We confirmed that serum LDH is significantly elevated in dogs with high-grade ML and declines following effective chemotherapy, supporting its utility as a dynamic biomarker of tumor burden and treatment response. Thrombocytopenic dogs may represent a biologically distinct subset warranting further investigation.

Bilateral Breast Implant-Associated Epstein-Barr Virus-Positive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma: A Case Report and Literature Review. (PubMed, Ann Plast Surg)
Latent EBV infection plays an important pathogenic role, contributing to the indolent nature and restrictive proliferation of such cases, which are currently classified as fibrin-associated DLBCL. We aim to highlight the reasons for the delayed diagnosis of the disease, the possible pathologic findings on the contralateral side, and the potential need for prophylactic bilateral total capsulectomy. We also reviewed reported cases of BIA-EBV-positive DLBCL to gain a better understanding of its incidence, risk factors, diagnostic tools, pathogenesis, and prognosis.

Solitary Cutaneous Nodule as the Initial Presentation of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma. (PubMed, Cureus)
Whole-body positron emission tomography (PET) showed no hypermetabolic lymphadenopathy or visceral disease. The patient underwent excision of the back nodule with complex primary closure, and follow-up examinations have shown a well-healed scar without local recurrence. This case illustrates how CLL/SLL can present with a solitary cutaneous nodule and underscores the importance of histopathology and immunophenotyping in distinguishing secondary cutaneous involvement by systemic lymphoma from PCBCLs, as management and prognosis differ.

Myeloid sarcoma masquerading as central nervous system diffuse large b-cell lymphoma: a case report and literature review. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Subsequent comprehensive integration of clinical history, repeated bone marrow assessment, cytogenetics, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and extended immunohistochemistry(IHC) revealed the tumor to be a myeloid sarcoma (MS), representing an extramedullary relapse of his underlying AML. This case underscores the diagnostic pitfalls of MS, particularly within the central nervous system (CNS), and highlights the critical importance of considering MS in patients with a history of AML, especially those with genetic profiles predisposing to extramedullary disease, even when pathology initially suggests lymphoma.

Aberrant expression of CD markers in patients with acute leukemia. (PubMed, Pol Merkur Lekarski)
The study demonstrated a high ratio of abnormal CD marker expression in AL cases, aligning previous data from various area around the world. Identifying aberrant antigen expression patterns through immunophenotyping aids in diagnosing leukemia and distinguishing neoplastic cells from normal hematopoietic precursors.

An intriguing case of bilineage B-monocytic mixed phenotype acute leukemia with BCR-ABL1 rearrangement. (PubMed, Indian J Pathol Microbiol)
The uniqueness of the case is the presence of an additional population of bonafide promonocytes in an otherwise typical case of Philadelphia-positive B-ALL expressing CD13 and CD33. This case underscores the importance of morphology and cytochemistry in detecting and confirming minor blast populations, which may manifest as the dominant or the only clone at relapse.

A Case of Gallbladder MALT Lymphoma (PubMed, Gan To Kagaku Ryoho)
MALT lymphoma of the gallbladder is rare, does not have typical imaging findings, and preoperative diagnosis is difficult. This case reaffirms the importance of pathological examination of cholecystectomy specimens, as detailed pathological evaluation of the postoperative specimens leads to a diagnosis.
