Expression of MIR155HG, LOC283856, KIAA0125, and LOC100190986 as potential prognostic and predictive biomarkers for breast cancer. (PubMed, Braz J Med Biol Res)
Here, we evaluated cDNA microarray data from a previous study from our group to investigate the effects of SPARC expression on the transcriptome of MCF7 cells before and after treatment with docetaxel...Of these 9 DELncRNAs, MIR155HG, LOC283856, LOC100190986, and KIAA0125 were significantly correlated with recurrence-free survival and overall survival rates of BC patients, suggesting they could help predict the outcome of BC patients as prognostic factors. Moreover, in silico analysis showed that these DELncRNAs were able to predict BC patients' responses to different treatment protocols.

We demonstrate that BM regulatory genes undergo alterations specific to different cancer types, which are associated with the expression of immune checkpoints and immune dysfunction. Single-cell multi-omics reveal stage of differentiation and trajectory-dependent immunity-related gene expression patterns in human erythroid cells. (PubMed, Front Immunol)
We also found that ARG1 gene expression was restricted to the single erythroid cell cluster that we termed ARG1-positive Orthochromatic erythroblasts and that late Erythroid cells lose S100A9 and gain MZB1 gene expression in case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. These findings show that steady-state erythropoiesis bone marrow Erythroid cells express myeloid signature genes even without any transdifferentiating stimulus like cancer.

The clinical significance of long non-coding RNAs MALAT1 and CASC2 in the diagnosis of HCV-related hepatocellular carcinoma. (PubMed, PLoS One)
Our study results indicated that CASC2 is a promising biomarker and is considered better and could help in HCC diagnosis on top of HCV than MALAT1 and the routine biomarker AFP.
