NET-related genes are useful for categorizing GC samples into different subtypes and potentially playing significant roles in forecasting prognosis and guiding immunotherapy in GC. Furthermore, the six-gene risk model may aid in personalized prognosis prediction for GC patients.

A nomogram was established by integrating each patient's risk score and clinical features (age, gender, and tumor stage). Finally, we found that MEK inhibitors (selumetinib and trametinib) were more sensitive in the NET-high group and can inhibit the invasion and migration of LUAD cells. The NETs-related signature was able to predict the prognosis and immunotherapy outcome of LUAD patients.

Exploratory transcriptomic analyses reveal Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST1) as a promising biomarker for response to chemoimmunotherapy. Generally, for unresectable stage III NSCLC patients, anti-PD1 based induction-therapy according to PD-L1 expression and contraindication to antiangiogenic therapy followed by surgery is a feasible option.

Prognostic impact and immunotherapeutic implications of NETosis-related gene signature in gastric cancer patients. (PubMed, J Cell Mol Med)
High-risk patients were more sensitive to some small molecules compounds like camptothecin_1003, cisplatin_1005, cytarabine_1006, nutlin-3a (-)_1047, gemcitabine_1190, WZ4003_1614, selumetinib_1736 and mitoxantrone_1810. In summary, our study comprehensively explored the role of NETosis-related genes in gastric cancer, which can provide direction for relevant studies.

In conclusion, the study demonstrated that Bst1 mice are protected against renal IRI and that Bst1 expression in neutrophils plays a crucial role in inducing renal ischemia-reperfusion injury. These findings suggest that targeting Bst1 in neutrophils could be a potential therapeutic strategy for AKI.

Senescence and Mitochondrial Transfer Ability of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stromal Cells Influence Patterns of Alloreactivity after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (ASH 2023)
To that end, we conducted a translational research, based on BM specimens prospectively collected at our Institution (NCT03357172, NCT03964922), involving patients undergoing allo-HSCT for high-risk MDS and AML and receiving fludarabine/busulfan-based conditioning regimens, anti-lymphoglobuline and cyclosporin/mycophenolate mofetil. Here for the first time, we provide the evidence that MSC senescence plays an pivotal role in defining an altered immune state in transplanted AML possibly shifting the degree of alloreactivity from a high GvH/GvL response (high GvHD and low relapse) to a high immunosuppressive state (low GvHD and high relapse). These findings pave the way for implementing MSC senescence as a biomarker able to predict post-transplant outcomes and show new biological rationales to integrate donor-derived MSC products to better adjust GvH responses.
