MicroRNA-145-5p suppresses cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in upper tract urothelial carcinoma by targeting 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase/IMP cyclohydrolase. (PubMed, J Cell Biochem)
Furthermore, we used RNA sequencing and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis to identify possible downstream genes regulated by ATIC and found that miR-145-5p regulated the protein levels of fibronectin 1, Slug, cyclin A2, cyclin B1, P57, and interferon-induced transmembrane 1 via ATIC. ATIC may be a valuable predictor of prognosis and a potential therapeutic target for UTUC.

p53 promotes peroxisomal fatty acid β-oxidation to repress purine biosynthesis and mediate tumor suppression. (PubMed, Cell Death Dis)
p53-deficient CRCs with high levels of ATIC is more susceptible to ATIC inhibition. Collectively, these findings link p53 to peroxisomal FAO, purine biosynthesis, and CRC pathogenesis in a manner that is regulated by the levels of ATIC acetylation.

CircATIC Contributes to Multiple Myeloma Progression via miR-324-5p-Dependent Regulation of HGF. (PubMed, Biochem Genet)
MiR-324-5p suppressed the malignant behaviors of MM cells, which were largely counteracted by the overexpression of HGF in MM cells. CircATIC accelerated the proliferation, migration, invasion, and glycolysis and suppressed the apoptosis of MM cells through mediating miR-324-5p/HGF signaling.

CircATIC inhibits esophageal carcinoma progression and promotes radiosensitivity by elevating RHCG through sponging miR-10-3p. (PubMed, Thorac Cancer)
Overexpression of circATIC hampered ESCA progression and promoted radiosensitivity depending on the regulation of miR-10b-3p and RHCG.

ATIC facilitates cell growth and migration by upregulating Myc expression in lung adenocarcinoma. (PubMed, Oncol Lett)
ATIC overexpression promoted cell growth, migratory and invasive capacities, whereas this effect was abrogated by Myc knockdown in the HCC827 and NCI-H1435 cells. On the whole, the present study demonstrates that ATIC promotes LUAD cell growth and migration by increasing Myc expression.
