Metabolic-immune interactions in gastric cancer T cells: A single-cell atlas for prognostic biomarker identification. (PubMed, Quant Biol)
Immunohistochemistry further confirmed the prognostic value of key regulatory proteins (RGS1, CXCR4, CTLA4, ARPP19, ZNRF1, and ZNF207). Our findings highlight the metabolic immune crosstalk in GC and provide a promising biomarker panel for precision risk stratification and potential immunotherapeutic targets.

Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Extracellular Nanovesicles Alleviated Colitis via Modulating Th17/Treg Balance Through Hsa-miR-27b-3p-Mediated Suppression of PI3K/AKT/STAT3 Signaling Pathway. (PubMed, Int J Nanomedicine)
This study demonstrated that MSC NVs significantly alleviated DSS-induced colitis by modulating Th17/Treg balance in the colonic lamina propria, with hsa-miR-27b-3p identified as the key mediator through PIK3CA targeting and PI3K/AKT/STAT3 pathway inhibition. These findings highlight the therapeutic potential of filtration-extrusion-prepared MSC NVs as a safe and effective nanomedicine for IBD treatment.

SF3B1K700E rewires splicing of cell-cycle regulators. (PubMed, RNA)
Functionally, ectopic expression of ARPP19-long accelerated mitotic exit, and high ARPP19-long abundance associated with poorer overall survival in the TCGA-AML cohort. Our findings highlight a connection between SF3B1-dependent splicing, cell cycle progression, and tumorigenesis, offering new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer-associated splicing dysregulation.

Deciphering lactate/lactylation networks in AML: integrated scRNA-seq and transcriptomics reveal functions and prognostic model. (PubMed, BMC Cancer)
Transcriptomic profiling indicated lactylation-associated immunosuppression (e.g., downregulated CXCL9/10-CXCR3 axis, enrichment of T cell exhaustion markers) and heightened in silico-predicted sensitivity to BCL-2/FGFR inhibitors (ABT-737/AZD4547) in high-risk patients. Collectively, integrated analyses uncovered lactate/lactylation-associated heterogeneity in AML. Our machine learning-based prognostic model predicts survival, therapeutic response, and drug sensitivity, suggesting a potential strategy for precision therapeutics in AML.

Proteomic hub proteins CDKN2B, TRAPPC2L, WFS1, and ARPP19 drive biochemical recurrence and metastatic progression in prostate cancer: Protein macromolecule action. (PubMed, Int J Biol Macromol)
CDKN2B was identified as a key transcriptional determinant in prostate cancer typing, while TRAPPC2L and WFS1 acted as core transcriptional regulators, driving metastatic heterogeneity. ARPP19 and LOC650152 also show important transcriptional driving effects in advanced prostate cancer.

Anlotinib synergizes with venetoclax to induce mitotic catastrophe in acute myeloid leukemia. (PubMed, Cancer Lett)
Additionally, we identified a specific synthetic lethal vulnerability in AML involving an ARPP19 mutation at S62 phosphorylation. These findings underscore the therapeutic potential of anlotinib and venetoclax combination therapy in AML, warranting further clinical investigation.

Deciphering Microbiome, Transcriptome, and Metabolic Interactions in the Presence of Probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus against Salmonella Typhimurium in a Murine Model. (PubMed, Antibiotics (Basel))
Moreover, the fecal metabolomic analysis identified 929 differential metabolites, with enrichment observed in valine, leucine, isoleucine, taurine, glycine, and other metabolites. These findings suggest that supplementation with L. acidophilus promotes the growth of beneficial commensal genera while mitigating Salmonella-induced intestinal disruption by modulating immunity, gut homeostasis, gut barrier integrity, and metabolism.

lncRNA HCG11 Promotes Colorectal Cancer Cell Malignant Behaviors via Sponging miR-26b-5p. (PubMed, J Immunol Res)
Rescue experiments validated that miR-26b-5p inhibition or ARPP19 overexpression could countervail the inhibitory influences of HCG11 silence on CRC cell biological behaviors in vitro. To conclude, HCG11, upregulated in CRC cells, could promote cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and inhibit cell apoptosis via targeting miR-26b-5p/ARPP19 axis.

EFFECTS OF HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY ON SALIVARY AND FECAL MICROBIOTA IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE MYELOMA UNDERGOING AUTOLOGOUS HEMATOPOIETIC CELL TRANSPLANTATION (EBMT 2023)
Melphalan 200 mg/m2 was given on day -1. Antibacterial prophylaxis (oral vancomycin and ciprofloxacin) was administered from the onset of neutropenia (days 5-8 in this trial) until neutrophil recovery to 0.5 k/uL or fever. Cefepime and metronidazole were used for neutropenic fever...ALDEx2 was used for differential abundance analysis... HBOT may affect salivary and fecal microbiota composition. HBOT appeared to decrease microbiota diversity loss after autologous HCT. Increased oxygen pressure near the intestinal epithelium after HBOT may make the lumen a more favorable habitat for obligate anaerobic commensals, hence their enhanced fecal detection.

The MASTL-ENSA-PP2A/B55 axis modulates cisplatin resistance in oral squamous cell carcinoma. (PubMed, Front Cell Dev Biol)
Moreover, GKI-1, the first-in-class small molecule inhibitor of MASTL kinase, phenocopied MASTL depletion in enhancing the outcome of cisplatin treatment in OSCC cells, at a dose substantially lower than that needed to disrupt mitotic entry. Finally, GKI-1 exhibited promising efficacy in a mouse tumor xenograft model, in conjunction with cisplatin therapy.
