AP1S3 and AP1S1 showed complementary roles, associated with oncogenic/inflammatory signaling and immune-metabolic programs, respectively. These findings identify AP1AR as a clinically relevant biomarker and highlight AP-1 adaptor biology as an underexplored contributor to lung adenocarcinoma progression and therapeutic stratification.

OTUD1 regulates cytokine expression and related pathways in goose fatty liver by promoting deubiquitination of its target proteins. (PubMed, Poult Sci)
Consistently, the relative ubiquitination level of AP1G1 in goose fatty liver was lower than that of normal liver, which is correlated with increased protein abundance of AP1G1 and OTUD1 in goose fatty liver. In conclusion, the increased protein abundance of OTUD1 in goose fatty liver can regulate the expression of cytokines and related pathways during the formation of goose fatty liver by promoting the deubiquitination of the interacting proteins of OTUD1, including AP1G1.

GGA1 interacts with the endosomal Na+/H+ Exchanger NHE6 governing localization to the endosome compartment. (PubMed, J Biol Chem)
Consistent with NHE6 mis-localization, and Golgi retention, we find the intra-luminal pH in Golgi to be alkalinized in GGA1-null cells. Our study demonstrates a new interaction between NHE6 and GGA1 which functions in the localization of this intra-cellular NHE to the endosome compartment.

MicroRNA-641 Inhibits Endometrial Cancer Progression via Targeting AP1G1. (PubMed, Evid Based Complement Alternat Med)
Our findings illustrated that miR-641 was reduced in the EC cells and AP1G1 antagonized the miR-641 mimic-induced inhibition of the EC progression in vitro. Therefore, miR-641 may emerge as an effective molecule for EC treatment.
