ATMLP Enhances Radioresistance in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer through AKT-Mediated Lipid Droplet Accumulation. (PubMed, Int J Biol Sci)
Inhibition of the AKT pathway abrogates ATMLP-induced lipid accumulation and reverses the radioresistant phenotype. These findings identify ATMLP as a key mediator linking ROS homeostasis and lipid metabolic reprogramming to radiation response, and suggest that targeting the ATMLP-AKT axis may represent a promising therapeutic strategy to enhance radiotherapy efficacy in NSCLC.

Overall, integrating lncRNA analysis into ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy may enhance the detection of occult nodal metastases in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and support more accurate nodal staging in clinically node-negative patients.

METTL3 enhances AFAP1-AS1 stability via m6A modification recognized by YTHDF2 and IGF2BP1, which subsequently increases EGR2 expression by improving its mRNA stability. EGR2 directly activates transcription of immune checkpoint and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related genes. This METTL3/AFAP1-AS1/EGR2 signaling axis drives PC malignancy and immune resistance, offering potential therapeutic targets for PC treatment.

Our work uncovers a novel function of AFAP1-AS1 in regulating RNA alternative splicing through the modulation of splicing factors phase separation. This mechanism highlights an unrecognized pathway by which AFAP1-AS1 promotes drug resistance in lung adenocarcinoma, suggesting that AFAP1-AS1 and its regulated splicing events may serve as potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.
