Identification of immunological patterns characterizing immune-related psoriasis reactions in oncological patients in therapy with anti-PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors. (PubMed, Front Immunol)
Here, we investigated the immunological and genetic profiles of two patients with metastatic melanoma and one patient affected by lung cancer, who developed severe psoriasis after receiving anti-PD-1 nivolumab therapy...Our study showed that adaptive immunity predominates over innate immunity in anti-PD-1-induced psoriasis lesions, consistently with the local ADAMTSL5 overexpression. The presence of numerous SNPs in psoriasis susceptibility genes of the three patients also suggested their strong predisposition to the disease.

In conclusion, the circPFKP/miR-644/ADAMTSL5 regulatory pathway inhibited the malignant progression of GC. These findings may extend our understanding of the effects of circRNAs on cancer development and provide novel targets for the diagnosis of GC.

The pathogenic psoriatic autoimmune response against melanocytes is endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 dependent (PsoriasisG2C 2021)
These results demonstrate that the epistasis between HLA-C*06:02 and ERAP1 variants is due to the fact that the HLA-C*06:02-mediated autoimmune response against melanocytes in psoriasis is ERAP1-dependent, as the ADAMTSL5 autoanti-gen must be generated by ERAP1 from precursor peptides for presentation by HLA-C*06:02. This makes ERAP1 activity a potential target for the development of causal therapies for psoriasis and other autoimmune diseases with a similar genetic predisposition.

Ancestry proportion results for African, European, and Indigenous American were 24.1%, 64.2%, and 11.7%, respectively. The identification of DNA methylation patterns related to PCa in H/L men along with specific patterns related to aggressiveness and DNA repair constitutes a pivotal effort for the understanding of PCa in this population.
