ACSM3 suppresses the pathogenesis of high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma via promoting AMPK activity. (PubMed, Cell Oncol (Dordr))
Our data indicate that the ACSM3-AMPK axis is involved in the pathogenesis of HGSOC and, as such, may act as a therapeutic target for this cancer.

The Overexpression of Acyl-CoA Medium-Chain Synthetase-3 (ACSM3) Suppresses the Ovarian Cancer Progression via the Inhibition of Integrin β1/AKT Signaling Pathway. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
And ACSM3 interference obtained the contrary effects in vivo. In summary, ACSM3 acts as a tumor suppressor gene and may be a potential therapeutic target of ovarian cancer.
