AAMP (Angio Associated Migratory Cell Protein)

AAMP overexpression is associated with malignant clinical features of HCC and promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis of HCC cells partly by stabilizing RhoA expression.

RNA sequencing revealed AAMP modulation of immune-related pathways (Tumor Necrosis Factor, IL-17, Jak-STAT) and key proteins (EGFR, RPL10, NOD2), suggesting dual roles in proliferation. AAMP promotes CRC progression through PGK1 phosphorylation-dependent metabolic activation, proposing the AAMP-PGK1 axis as a therapeutic target for advanced CRC.

AAMP was a latent prognostic indicator for pan-cancer and had high potential as a biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of LIHC.

Finally, an interaction between AAMP and B7-H3 could be observed on expression level, hinting toward a combined synergistic effect. AAMP was identified as a novel interaction partner of B7-H3, opening new possibilities to create a targeted therapy against the pro-tumorigenic costimulatory protein B7-H3.

Subsequently, the level of active RhoA was increased, thereby accelerating CRC cell migration and invasion. These findings indicate a new potential antitumor target for CRC.
