FR900359, was characterized to inhibit growth of GNAQ-mutant uveal melanoma cells in vitro, but has been limited in translatability due to a narrow therapeutic window. We show that FR900359 is a potent inducer of autophagy in GNAQ- and GNA11-mutant cell line...These findings provide a novel and potentially effective combination treatment approach for GNAQ/11-mutant melanomas.
