Title:

A novel concomitant NRAS and BRAF mutation in metastatic colorectal cancer

Published date:
06/27/2023
Excerpt:
One patient was identified with a double mutation inthe NRAS and BRAF genes: a G12C in NRAS and V600E/D in BRAF. This patient had an immediate liver metastasis from a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the left colon; MSI immunohistochemistry analysis revealed competent mismatch repair proteins. The patient was given folforinox + avastin during 3 months, then Avastin+Xeloda as maintenance treatment. Fortunately, the patient had an objective response to chemotherapy with metastasis stabilization with one-year follow-up.
Secondary therapy:
FOLFIRINOX + capecitabine
