FDA approves nivolumab with ipilimumab for unresectable or metastatic MSI-H or dMMR colorectal cancer

Excerpt:
The Food and Drug Administration approved nivolumab (Opdivo, Bristol Myers Squibb Company) with ipilimumab (Yervoy, Bristol Myers Squibb Company) for adult and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older with unresectable or metastatic microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) or mismatch repair deficient (dMMR) colorectal cancer (CRC).

LBA7 - Neoadjuvant immune checkpoint inhibition in locally advanced MMR-deficient colon cancer: The NICHE-2 study

Published date:
09/05/2022
Excerpt:
With a median time from first dose to surgery of 5 weeks, pathologic response was observed in 106/107 (99%) pts, consisting of 102/107 (95%) MPR and 4 (4%) PR. PCR was observed in 72/107 (67%) pts. At a median follow-up of 13 months (range 1-57), none of the pts had disease recurrence....In NICHE-2 we confirm the previously reported pathologic responses to short-term neoadjuvant nivolumab plus ipilimumab in a large cohort of dMMR CC pts, with an MPR rate of 95%, including 67% pCR.

Title:

A pathological complete response after nivolumab plus ipilimumab therapy for DNA mismatch repair-deficient/microsatellite instability-high metastatic colon cancer: A case report

Published date:
05/17/2022
Excerpt:
The present study reports the case of a large, locally advanced right-sided metastatic deficient mismatch repair/microsatellite instability-high colon cancer, which showed a pathological complete response after combination treatment with nivolumab and ipilimumab.
