Spearman correlation analysis of the 12 pyroptosis-related genes and 135 chemotherapeutic drugs in the Genomics of Drug Sensitivity in Cancer database revealed that the expression of the solute carrier family 31 member 2 (SLC31A2) and collagen type 4 alpha 5 chain (COL4A5) was related to the resistance to most chemotherapies (Fig. 6C). The cell counting Kit-8 (CCK-8; Sigma-Aldrich, Shanghai, China) assay demonstrated that SLC31A2 and COL4A5 are tightly associated with vemurafenib-resistance.
